Your tour starts with an early pickup at Manuel Antonio.
The drive to Sierpe mangroves and pier is around an hour and a half. You will awe, at this time of day, of the beautiful, mystical landscapes while on the way.
As soon as we get to the small village of Sierpe and the restaurant and pier, we will have some time to stretch legs, have breakfast (1) and get ready to go on a fantastic boat ride through the most important mangroves of Central America.
Enjoying a vast array of aquatic birds and the explanations or your tour guide on this magnificent life system we will go out to open sea.
Once at sea, keep your eyes open for dolphins and whales as this is a passing route for these fantastic mammals.
As we arrive in the ranger’s station, we will start a walk into the heart of the rainforest.
The magic of nature resides in its spontaneity.
You might see a lot of animals in this hike, several species of monkeys, small mammals like anteaters, agoutis, and coatimundis, and if lucky, larger ones, like the Baird’s Tapir or even one of the large felines.
Or, instead look up to the sky and see the couples of macaws loud and noisy, always flying next to each other, or a yellow-throated toucan with its shrill, frog-like call from the tops.
Your tour guide will carry great optical gear, and you will see to the detail the impressive array of bird species and animals on the tops.
You will also learn and understand a lot of this fantastic life system. Our tour guides are passionate experts in tropical nature, and they are willing to share it with the visitors.
And after two great hours immersed in the forest, you will head back to the park station for lunch on the beach.
After we finish lunch and rest a bit, we will go for the afternoon hike that will take you to a pristine waterfall in the jungle.
You can get in your swimsuit, and swim and float in its warm waters while seeing the blue skies through the trees.
After sucking the marrow out of nature, you will be ready to get back to the comfort of your hotel.
So, it is time to head back to Manuel Antonio, the same way we came in.
On the way back you will have time to think about the joy of magnificent day until arriving a bit after sunset.
Please note that we do not include breakfast. You can order a fresh breakfast at the pier in Sierpe or bring your own from the hotel.
